The common Peroneal nerve branches from the sciatic and provides sensation to the front and sides of the legs and the top of the feet. 

Boot drop syndrome is a play on words for Foot drop syndrome. Foot drop syndrome is defined as having difficulty lifting the front part of your foot and can be often brought about from long standing compression or Peroneal nerve damage. So make sure to loosen those Boots when you hit the slopes!!!
